Two suspects were arrested on Sunday morning after a Manhattan Beach Police Department officer witnessed a car-to-car shooting, police said.

The shooting happened at about 9:50 a.m. in 1100 block of Meadows Avenue and the witnessing officer followed the suspect vehicle. With the assistance of several outside agencies, a felony traffic stop was conducted in the area of 2nd Street and Redondo Avenue, the Police Department said.

Two suspects were taken into custody on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and two guns were recovered. Police did not immediately identify the suspects. The victim vehicle fled the area and the Police Department was checking local hospitals for any victims, Manhattan Beach PD said in a news release.
