There is no place like home and with two weeks in the regular season, the Mira Costa football team is looking to win-out. The Mustangs have two home games left, beginning with Compton Centennial on Homecoming night tomorrow at Waller Stadium and concluding with rival Redondo Union the week after.

The Mira Costa boys’ beach volleyball team won its fourth consecutive AAU Southern Pacific Boys’ Interscholastic Beach Volleyball League championship after defeating Santa Barbara 2-0 in the finals in Hermosa Beach last Saturday.

They will have just finished high school at Mira Costa, but football teammates Koda Thormodsgaard and Nick Carpino are following through on an idea they first had earlier this year. That was to put together a football camp for youth players and share the knowledge they have learned over the years.
