Police identified a woman on Tuesday, Aug. 13, who was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of driving while intoxicated during a fatal collision with a motorcycle in Redondo Beach.

Samantha Natalie Herasme, 31, of Rancho Palos Verdes, was booked on suspicion of felony vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, Redondo Beach Police officials said in a news release. She was involved in a crash with a motorcyclist near the intersection of Rindge Lane and Artesia Boulevard on Sunday, Aug. 11, police said.

Emergency responders found the rider, a Redonodo Beach resident, suffering from significant injuries at the scene of the collision, police said. He was taken to Harbor General Hospital, where he later died. Los Angeles County Coroner’s officials later identified him as Mark Sean, 51.

The incident remained under investigation Tuesday evening.

Herasme had been taken into police custody, but was released after posting $100,000 bail at about 9:40 p.m. Monday, court records show.
