Two suspects were taken into custody after leading Torrance police officers on a short pursuit from Torrance to north Redondo Beach on Thursday, Dec. 27, authorities said.
Just before 3:30 p.m., Torrance police officers were made aware of a stolen vehicle through an automated license plate reader, Sgt. Ronald Harris said.
Officers found the vehicle and the pursuit started in the area of Hawthorne Boulevard and 182nd Street, Harris said.
During the pursuit, the suspects hit multiple vehicles, but no injuries were reported, he said. The pursuit ended in the area of Marine Avenue and Aviation Boulevard on the border of Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach.
The pursuit lasted less than 10 minutes.
Identifying information on the suspects was not immediately available. Torrance police were still investigating at the scene of the pursuit’s end.
