What often makes food great is authenticity — and it doesn’t get much more authentic than at the South Bay Greek festival.

Community members flocked to St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Redondo Beach for a weekend of Greek culture, centered around tradition and family.

With church members preparing to serve their community months in advance, the festival featured dozens of dishes and desserts, including baklava, kataifi, phyllo dumplings, and more.

Throughout the weekend, attendees participated in dances, raffles and games that let everyone to come together and socialize with their neighbors.

The three-day event kicked off Friday, July 12 and continued through Sunday. The church is located at 722 Knob Hill in Redondo Beach.
