Sunshine peaked through the clouds and the future looked bright Thursday, June 13, at Mira Costa High School where 588 seniors donned green gowns and accepted their diplomas.

The commencement ceremony at Waller Stadium, home of the Mustangs, included addresses from school officials and a performance by senior members of the school's choir.

The Class of 2019 celebrated in true Manhattan Beach fashion with big Hawaiian lei necklaces and even grander smiles as they embarked on the next chapter of their lives to the applause of friends and family.
