Manhattan Beach residents will get a chance to meet their new city council officials at a Town Hall Wednesday May 1.

The event, hosted by the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce, will be from 6 to 8 pm at the westdrift Manhattan Beach, Autograph Collection hotel at 1400 Parkview Ave.

It will feature meet and great reception with Mayor Steve Napolitano, Councilmembers Nancy Hersman and Richard Montgomery as well as the newest city officials: Councilmembers Suzanne Hadley and Hildy Stern.

There will also be a question and answer portion of the evening—moderated by the Chamber President and CEO Kelly Stroman—that will focus on business related topics, such as the difficulties of opening  and running a business in Manhattan Beach.

Attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance to Stroman at kelly@manhattanbeachchamber.com, which the Chamber will organize in order to create an effective dialogue, according to an April 23 press release.

Space for the Town Hall is limited and those interested in attending are advised to register on the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce website at http://business.manhattanbeachchamber.com/events/details/manhattan-beach-town-hall-9348, the Chamber said.

Metered parking will be available on the street for the event.
