Erickson-Hall Construction was named the general contractor to provide facilities project management services for the Measure S new construction modernization projects, including the construction of North School, and facilities improvements at View and Valley schools, at the Hermosa Beach City School District school board meeting on May 8.
The board voted to approve the master contract agreements with Erickson-Hall Construction, which includes the Master Construction Services Agreement, the Master Site Lease, and the Master Sub-Lease Agreement.
The company was selected after an extensive search that attracted four applicants. The review process culminated in a presentation from Erickson-Hall and a question and answer session with the school board during the April school board meeting.
“The general contracting firm... is reputable and experienced in their work with construction project management,” said Superintendent Pat Escalante in a staff report. “They are committed to sustainability, neighborhood compatibility, budget, cost analysis, and the lease leaseback delivery method.”
According to its website, Erickson-Hall has been in business since 1998 and their “expertise with educational, fire, essential services, civic, parks, recreation, religious, office, and healthcare facilities is well-known.”
