Manhattan Beach police arrested a 20-year-old woman July 21 for allegedly smashing several vehicle windows and stealing items.
The woman, identified as Camille Palmer Fortune, was captured on video surveillance using credit cards stolen from the vehicle burglaries, according to a statement from police.
Fortune was arrested during a traffic stop by Manhattan Beach officers in the city of Redondo Beach after she was suspected of committing another vehicle burglary, based on the statement.
"During a search of her vehicle, a hammer was found that was believed to be the burglary tool used to commit the vehicle burglaries. Fortune was booked at the Manhattan Beach Police Department jail," the statement said.
Fortune was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of vandalism, one count of shoplifting, one count of possession of burglary tools and one count of fraudulent use of credit cards. Bail was set at $65,000.
