Vehicle burglary

An unknown suspect smashed a window and stole a backpack near Aviation Boulevard and Marine Avenue July 17. 

An unknown suspect smashed a window to a vehicle in the 1700 block of Marine Avenue July 17 and stole a bag.

Theft from vehicle

An unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle in the 1600 block of Ruhland Avenue July 12 and stole a credit card. 

Auto theft

A 2017 Lincoln was reported stolen from the 1100 block off Poinsettia Avenue July 12 to 15. 

A 2013 Hyundai Elantra was reported stolen from the pier parking lot July 15. The keys were apparently stolen from the beach.

Hermosa Beach


The driver's side window to a car in the 700 block of Valley Drive was smashed on July 22. The vehicle was ransacked and various items were stolen. 

Police arrested two suspects having entered a residence in the 3200 block of Hermosa Avenue on July 18. Both suspects tried to flee as the police arrived, but were apprehended. 

An unknown suspect entered an open garage in the 1800 block of Manhattan Avenue July 20 and stole a bike trailer. 


An unknown suspect removed a cushion from the patio of a residence in the 00 block of 6th Street July 17. 

An unlocked bicycle was stolen from a side yard walkway of a residence in the 800 block of the Strand July 18. 

A victim was locked out of her phone and was tricked into paying an unknown person $300 to unlock the phone. 

While a resident was out of the country an unknown suspect entered the unsecured business in the 600 block of Cypress Avenue and stole items. 

A parking pass was stolen from a vehicle with the windows down in the 2200 block of Hermosa Avenue July 4. 

An unknown suspect stole a package from a residence in the 500 block of 18th Street July 15.
