Store robbery

A man was arrested after attempting to rob a business in the 1500 block of S. Pacific Coast Highway and then threatening the manager on June 25. The suspect reportedly concealed property in a bag and attempted to ext the store without paying. When the manager confronted the suspect, he reportedly kicked her in the leg and threatened violence when she got off of work.

Burglary residential

Bicycles and other property was stolen from a locked garage in the 400 block of Anita Street June 26. A Weed Wacker, miscellaneous Dremel tools, dart board, darts, two Senator bikes, Huffy Wrangler bike, Huffy Thunder Road bike Murray 1000 BMX bike and two Cruiser bikes were stolen.

An Electra Cruiser bike was stolen from a secured parking garage in the 1100 block of Esplanade by unknown means between June 21 and 22.

Car burglary

Rayban sunglasses, a portable air pump and an emergency kit in a black duffel bag was stolen from a locked Honda CRV in the 2800 block of Artesia Blvd. on June 25.

Maui Jims sunglasses, business cards and a Redondo Beach Police Department Challenge coin was stolen from a Land Rover in the 1300 block of S. Gertruda Ave. overnight on June 23 and 24.

Currency and a Wind Dancer folding pocket knife was stolen from a Ford F-150 June 23, in the 340 block of McBain Ave. A key fob was used to break into the lock driver's side door.

Property from 18 locked cars was stolen by smashing windows June 22, from 7 to 10:30 p.m., in the 1900 block of Manhattan Beach Blvd. Laptops and other property was stolen from multiple vehicles.

Hermosa Beach


An unknown person vandalized a police vehicle by keying its passenger side door in the 500 block of Pier Ave. on June 19.

Paint was used to vandalize a building in the 700 block of 10th Street on June 19.

A mural on the wall of a business in the 1300 block of Hermosa Ave. was damaged June 18.


Suspect was arrested after attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill in the 1100 block of Pacific Coast Highway on June 22. During a probation check, the suspect was reportedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine, heroine, hypodermic needles, X-Acto knife, credit card in another person's name, multiple phones, laptop computers and a pellet gun.

Victim never received concert tickets purchased on Craigslist after money was transferred June 23, in the 1000 block of 10th Street.

A woman stole a laptop computer after being invited to a man's residence in the 300 block of Hermosa Ave. on June 16. The victim had met the suspect that evening and she later left with his computer.

Two bicycles were stolen from a front yard in the 300 block of 31st Street on June 24. The unknown suspect(s) cut the locks on the bicycles and removed them from a bike rack in front of the residence.

Four locked bicycles were stolen from a secured underground parking garage in the 400 block of Monterey Blvd. between June 21 and 22.

A parking pass was stolen in the 1700 block of the Strand while the victim was unloading their car on June 14.
