Vehicle thefts

An unknown suspect smashed a window to a vehicle in the 2400 block of North Ardmore Avenue June 25 and stole a bag. 

An unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle in the 600 block of 13th Street on June 25 and stole a purse. 

An unknown suspect entered a vehicle June 22 in the 700 block of 11th Street through an opened window and stole clothing. 

An unknown suspect smashed a window to a car in the 300 block of 23rd Street June 25 and stole a purse. 

An unknown suspect smashed a window to a car in the 3600 block of Manhattan Avenue June 25 and took miscellaneous items.

An unknown suspect smashed a window in the 2900 block of Alma Avenue on June 27 and stole a drone.

An unknown suspect entered a vehicle in the 4400 block of Ocean Drive June 30 using a hidden access key and stole wallets, cell phones and a credit card. 

Attempted residential burglary

An unknown suspect attempted to remove a window screen to a home in the 500 block of Rosecrans Avenue July 4. No property was stolen.

Hermosa Beach

Over the Fourth of July holiday, Hermosa Beach arrested eight people for public intoxication and two people for public urination. They cited 11 for alcohol related violations. Because the city is now under LA County fire department, no fireworks citations were made since that agency does not enforce illegal fireworks regulations, according to Sgt. Robert Higgins.

Theft

A residential parking pass stolen from a vehicle at 54 10th Street June 16.

A package was stolen from the front of a residence at 1128 Palm Drive April 12. 

A parking permit was left unattended at the beach near Pier Avenue and was subsequently stolen June 19.  

A vehicle registration tab was stolen off of a vehicle in the 400 block of Pier Avenue May 16. 

A large amount of cash was reported stolen from the nightstand of a home at 133 Beach Drive sometime in June. 

A wallet was stolen from a purse while the victim shopped at 1100 Pacific Coast Highway June 29.

A cell phone was stolen from an electrical outlet while the owner fell asleep outside a business in the 700 block of Pier Avenue June 25. 

Burglary

An unknown suspect forced entry into a business at 2620 Hermosa Avenue through an upstairs door and forced open a safe June 24. 

A handgun in a gun box was stolen from a garage in the 400 block of 25th street June 26. 

An unknown person entered an open garage in the 700 block of 24th Street June 28 and stole a bicycle. 

A vehicle was entered by an unknown means in the 700 block of 16th Street June 23 and various items were stolen. 

Redondo Beach

Over the July 4th holiday, Redondo Beach Fire Department and Police and cited 15 people for illegal fireworks. 

Burglary

An unknown suspect gained entry to a property in the 400 block of North Harbor Drive June 28 and removed a lock from the storage shed. A Rigid tile cutter, Dewalt chop saw, pressure washer and other tools were stolen. 

An unknown suspect entered an unlocked residence in the 2400 block of Hadley Lane July 3 and stole a MacBook Pro laptop.

An unknown suspect entered a secured underground parking garage in the 2500 block of Graham Avenue July 1 and cut locks to take property. Two bicycles were stolen. 

An unknown suspect entered a secured residence in the 700 block of Sapphire Street using a tool to pry open the back door and rear window while the house was being tented for termites. 

Police arrested a man July 2 for allegedly entering a secured underground parking garage in the 2500 block of Graham Avenue July 2 and possibly using an electronic device to gain entry to a locked vehicle and take battery jumper cables, a starter and miscellaneous paperwork. 

An unknown suspect entered a secured residence in the 2000 block of Curtis Avenue June 13 to June 28 through a rear window where the air conditioning unit is located. A Vizio television was stolen. 

An unknown suspect entered a locked vehicle parking in an underground area in the 900 block of Camino Real June 27 and stole U.S. currency and a car key. 

Three vehicles in the 800 block of Camino Real were reportedly broken into from an underground garage on June 27. 

Police arrested two individuals, one male the other female, for attempting to open the passenger side door and setting off a vehicle alarm in the 100 block of Beryl Street June 29.
