ShockBoxx Gallery’s group show “Figments” takes place Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6, at 636 Cypress Ave., in Hermosa Beach.

"Figments" is a group art show where artists reflect on the relationship with one’s self and topics of mental health, including disorders like anxiety disorder, depression and body dysmorphia. They invited artists to explore both the causation and effects of mental health issues and instability through visual art and writing. With Figments, they aim to destigmatize mental health issues, as well as promote personal growth, a healthy relationship with one’s self, and a positive, supportive community.

The show takes place both days from 6 to 10 p.m.
