Earl and Hilda Jones were both scientists who had one burning question roiling around their brains: Why doesn't the United States produce any fine Tempranillos?
To answer the question, they left their scientific careers down in the Gulf Coast, uprooted themselves and their two children, and headed for the Wild West. Well, Southern Oregon anyway...
That was back in '95. Since then they've grown to become one of the Oregon's best wineries, and have become well known for their many Gold, Platinum and 90 plus point wines. In fact their 2005 South Face reserve Syrah remains the highest rated wine ever grown and produced in Southern Oregon to this day!
Join us Friday as we welcome Abacela and tipple a tasty Tempranillo or two and sample some of Southern Oregon's most bodacious wines!
